Automations

The Automations Analytics page gives you visibility into how your automated campaign emails are performing. Automations are ReferralHero’s built-in, behavior-triggered emails that keep subscribers informed, engaged, and rewarded throughout your campaign.

This page helps you track:

  • Which automations are being triggered (e.g., Welcome, Participation, Reward emails)

  • How subscribers are engaging (opens, clicks, bounces, unsubscribes)

  • Where disengagement happens (unsubscribes by email type)

By reviewing these metrics, you can evaluate campaign performance, identify areas for improvement, and maintain a healthy subscriber list.

Automations Chart

The Automations Chart provides a visual overview of email activity. At the top of the chart, you can:

  • Select whether to view all campaigns or focus on a specific campaign.

  • Filter by time ranges → 1W, 1M, 3M, 6M, 1Y

  • Choose frequency → Daily, Weekly or Monthly view

  • Use a custom date picker

  • X-axis (horizontal): Email activity types → emails_sent, emails_opened, emails_bounced, emails_clicked

  • Y-axis (vertical): Count of emails per activity

  • Hover details (tooltips): Show a breakdown by email type.

This lets you quickly compare how different automations perform relative to each other across campaigns.

Email Analytics

The Email Analytics section shows detailed reports for each automation type, grouped into three categories:

  • Welcome Emails → Welcome, Referral Welcome, Pending Welcome, Follow-Up, Activation, Quick Add Invite

  • Participation Emails → First Referral, Referral, Milestone, Reminder, Promoted

  • Reward Emails → Include all reward emails enabled in the account

Each email type includes metrics updated daily:

  • Sent → Total emails delivered

  • Opened → How many were opened

  • Bounced → Failed deliveries

  • Unsubscribed → Count and % of recipients who opted out

  • Clicks → Click-throughs on links inside the email

  • Referrals → Referrals directly generated from the email

Unsubscribers Tracking

The Unsubscribers Tracking section shows a log of subscribers who opted out of campaign emails, helping you monitor disengagement and compliance.

  • Calendar filter → Select the date range you want to review.

  • Table view → Lists:

    • Subscriber name and email

    • Unsubscribe date

    • Email type they opted out from

  • Visit profile link → Access the subscriber’s details and campaign activity.

Features Impacted

Automations Analytics provides visibility into the following areas of your campaign:

  • Welcome flows → triggered for new subscribers after they complete a conversion event

  • Participation flows → triggered when advocates generate referral activity

  • Reward flows → triggered to subscribers when rewards are unlocked, delivered, or promoted

  • Unsubscribes → tracks opt-outs from any campaign email
